Going into it’s third year, an idea sparked with Jo and organiser Cat Read about a concept of creating a completely styled house as one of the Fremantle Open Houses.
On finding an original Brian Klopper Air B&B apartment, that was a sizable and open plan space within the walkabout, offered a perfect starting place. We approached the owners and offered a free makeover if we were allowed to take over the space for a week.
Jo worked meticulously with local artisans , furniture makers and creators to bring fresh new things into the house for one weekend.
Everything in the space was for sale including furnishings, artworks and furniture. It was a huge success as over 3,000 people visited the space in two days.
A big thank you to Jody D’arcy for capturing this space on day of install
